Introduction

We, tibboh Internet Limited, provide a safe and secure browsing experience for our tibboh Members, as well as a place where those tibboh Members and Sponsors can purchase a variety of products and can meet and interact with others. We administer the site from England and through our service providers who may or may not be based in England.

tibboh's Privacy Policy covers the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information that may be collected by tibboh whenever you interact with tibboh, such as when you visit our website at http://www.tibboh.co.uk/, when you purchase products from the tibboh Shop, when you use certain of our products or applications, or when you call or email our support associates. If you wish to become a tibboh Member and/or Sponsor then we require you to accept this Privacy Policy as part of our terms and conditions. If you browse the tibboh site without becoming a tibboh Member or Sponsor then this Policy will still apply.

Please read this Privacy Policy to learn more about our information practices, including what type of information we collect, how this information is used and for what purposes, to whom we disclose the information, and how we safeguard your personal information. Your privacy is a priority at tibboh - we respect your right to privacy and we share your concern about the security of any information you may submit to tibboh.  This policy sets out the lengths we go to protect your privacy and to safeguard your personal information.  Any terms that are used in this Privacy Policy but are not defined in this Policy have the meaning given to them in tibboh's General Terms and Conditions which are accessible at http://www.tibboh.co.uk/terms_and_conditions/.

We may amend this Policy at any time. If we do this we will post the revised version on this page of the site and we may send tibboh Members and Sponsors an email notifying them of the change. Unless we inform you otherwise, a change will take effect seven days after the date that we post it on this page. Your use of the site after the date a change takes effect will be subject to this Privacy Policy as amended by the change. We will take your continued use as your acceptance of the change, so if an amendment is not acceptable to you then you should stop using the site and our services.

YOUR INFORMATION

What information does tibboh collect about me and how is it used?

The information we collect about you is made up from the information you and others give us during your use of the site and our services.

This information is gathered in two ways: indirectly (for example, through the site's technology); and directly (for example, when you register to use the site or post information on the site).

We only collect personal information about you if you voluntarily choose to share it with us. We do not share, licence or sell information concerning tibboh Members or Sponsors or any other users of the tibboh site with or to third parties in ways other than disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

We store no personal information about children under the age of 12 years except with the express and verifiable consent of their Guardian Sponsor. 

By registering as a Guardian Sponsor an individual has to confirm that they are over 18 years of age. The age of each Guardian Sponsor is provisionally verified by a low value credit card transaction (not a debit card transaction). The details provided by the Guardian Sponsor (which include their UK postal address and email address) are subject to rigorous verification checks applied against the credit card they use to verify their age and identity.

All Guardian Sponsors are required to declare that they have parental responsibility for or are the legal guardian of the relevant tibboh Member.

What about sensitive information?

We ask you to provide us with certain sensitive personal information through the site and our services (in particular, as part of your profile page), but you do not have to provide us with this information to become a tibboh Member or to use the site and our services.  If you do provide us with sensitive personal information when requested then by doing so you are agreeing to that information being used by us for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. If you do not want us to use your sensitive personal information for these purposes then please do not provide us with the information.

We use the term “sensitive personal information” to mean information about topics such as personality and private life, racial or ethnic origin, membership of political parties or movements, or other such sensitive topics.

Does the site use cookies?

The tibboh site (which includes the tibboh Shop) uses cookies, small pieces of information that are stored by the browser on your computer's hard drive, in order for the site to function properly and to help us provide you with a better site experience. None of your personal details are held in these cookies. If you are uncomfortable with our use of cookies you can disable them by changing the settings on your browser, but please note that if you disable them it will affect your ability to properly use the site and you will not be able to purchase products from the tibboh Shop.

OUR USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

How do we use your information?

We will use your information for the following main purposes: to provide you with the site and our services; for internal analysis and research (in particular to help us improve the site and our services); to comply with legal and regulatory requirements; and to help detect and deal with crime and unsavoury behaviour.

Do we use your information for marketing purposes?

If you are a tibboh Member or Sponsor then from time to time we may contact you by e-mail about our goods, services, promotions or forthcoming events that we think may be of interest to you. If you choose to stop receiving these emails in the future, please follow the unsubscribe instructions within each email communication or send an email to info@tibboh.co.uk.

tibboh will not provide or share any mailing lists or other information about you to another company or service for promotional purposes. Any service related emails (to confirm a purchase, etc.) generally do not offer an unsubscribe option as they are necessary to provide the service you requested.

Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for us to communicate with you in any event for administrative or operational reasons relating to the site and our services.

DISCLOSING YOUR INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

Taking your security issues seriously

At tibboh we take security issues seriously. We have implemented appropriate steps to help maintain the security of the site and prevent the accidental destruction, loss or unauthorised disclosure of the information we collect.

However, whilst tibboh continues to work hard to protect the security and integrity of your personal information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to tibboh over the Internet. Transmitting personal information over the Internet is done at your own risk and you should bear this in mind when using the tibboh site and our services.

To whom may we disclose your information?

tibboh may transfer personal information that you share within the tibboh group of companies in order to provide the products that you request. Except as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy, tibboh will only share your personal information with third parties if:

tibboh has your consent;

tibboh determines that it is required to do so by law;

tibboh determines it would be appropriate to do so in order to assist or support a criminal investigation, the theft or misuse of a tibboh Member or Guardian Sponsor's username or details, or if we think that the disclosure may help to detect and deal with crime and/or unsavoury behaviour;

tibboh finds that you are in breach of its terms and conditions or any of its policies or usage guidelines for specific products or services;

it is necessary in our opinion to do so to prevent, investigate, detect or prosecute attacks on the technical integrity of the tibboh site or its network;

it is necessary in our opinion to do so in order to protect the rights, property, or safety of tibboh or its employees, the users of our site, or the public; or

it is necessary to fulfil your product or service order. tibboh may use an outside shipping company to fulfil your order, and a credit card processing company to process your credit card information as required for your order and to ensure that your transaction is secure. These companies do not retain, share, store or use your personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

We will not give your information to third parties to allow them to market their goods and services to you. However, the tibboh site aims to provide you with content, including adverts, tailored to meet your interests and needs based on your use of the site. Some of this content is provided by third party content providers, but you can rest assured that we do not provide your personal details to these providers as part of this service.

What about information I transmit to the tibboh Shop?

The tibboh Shop uses industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and site certificates to ensure that your personal and financial information is properly encrypted and that you are sending this to tibboh and not any sites that are attempting to capture personal and financial data through any illegal "phishing" operations.

tibboh's internet security measures are constantly under review and we will adopt all new standards that can enhance the security of any personal or financial information that you send to us once those standards are proven in use. In addition, tibboh’s secure servers protect this information using advanced firewall technology.

What can I do to help make sure online shopping works correctly?

To help ensure that these measures are effective in preventing unauthorised access to your private information, you should be aware of the security features available to you through your browser. You should use a security-enabled browser to make purchases at the tibboh Shop.

You will be able to link to third party sites through the tibboh site (for example, to sellers of products listed on the tibboh Shop).  Other sites that are accessible through the tibboh site have their own privacy and data collection policies, use of data and data disclosure practices. This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected on or through the tibboh site and we are not responsible for the collection of data and the related data and privacy policies and practices of third parties.

Can you see the information we hold about you?

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you (for which we may charge a small fee).

What if information I have previously submitted has changed?

If you need to change or update the information that we hold about you or your tibboh account details (other than your tibboh username), find at any time that any of the information we hold about you is incorrect or believe that there are errors in the information we hold about you, then please e-mail info@tibboh.co.uk.

What is our policy regarding use of our site by children under the age of 12 years?

Whilst tibboh encourages everyone to visit its site and to enjoy the benefits of its Safer Search facility, we have developed our membership process to specifically avoid the unauthorised collection of personal information from those under the age of 12 years of age. Any collection of personal information from a person under the age of 12 years of age without their parent or legal guardian's express and verifiable consent would be purely accidental and unintentional. If a person under the age of 12 years of age wishes to submit information to tibboh, we ask that that person's parent or legal guardian submit the information on his or her behalf.

tibboh strongly encourages parents and legal guardians to take an active role in their charge's use of the Internet and to monitor this usage on an ongoing basis.

Privacy/Security Policy changes

If tibboh makes changes to any terms or conditions of this Privacy/Security Policy, these changes will be posted on tibboh’s websites in a timely manner. If tibboh decides to materially change its privacy policy, it will post those changes to this privacy statement and other places tibboh deems appropriate, which may include its website, for a period of time tibboh deems appropriate, so that you are aware of what information tibboh collects, how tibboh uses it, and under what circumstances, if any, tibboh discloses it. tibboh reserves the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently.
